Mew Sum was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1995. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales in 2008 and was called to the Brunei Bar in 2010.

Mew Sum is a Senior Associate in the litigation department of the Firm. Her practice and experience is in civil litigation and encompasses a wide range of matters including banking, tort, contract, corporate, commercial, employment, insurance, probate and administration, trademark and copyright. Specifically, she has advised and represented clients in company and shareholders’ disputes, partnership disputes, trade mark and copyright infringements and domain name disputes as well as in construction, negligence, defamation, personal injury and insurance claims. Her experience also includes representing corporate clients in their petitions and applications under the Brunei Companies Act, Cap. 39.

Mew Sum’s other clients include banking and financial institutions where she handles their contentious work.
